YOUTH SPACE

A safe and inclusive space to connect with peers, be themselves, have fun, relate to others and talk about things important to them. 

Youth Space extended our hours this summer to provide a light supper!

Everyone Group: Thursday August 8th , from 3:30 PM to 6 PM 

Theme: 2SLGBTQIA+ movie

Activities: In & Out (1997) and a special guest – Cameron Jette (he/they) for an interactive button-making workshop

Movie genre: Comedy and Romance

Abstract: A Midwestern teacher questions his sexuality after a former student makes a comment about him at the Academy Awards.

Content warnings: Comments/behaviours/actions related to body image, substance use, addiction, homophobia, gender and cultural stereotypes

2SLGBTQIA+ Group: Thursday August 22nd from 3:30 PM to 6 PM

Theme: Tye dye is one of a kind, just like you!

Activities: Tye dye T-shirts, discussions and games around pride

**All participants will receive one T-shirt to tye dye.**

For all outings, parent/legal guardian consent is required for participants under 18 years old.

Participants over 18 can consent for themselves. Transportation to and from the location is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian.
