On Sunday October 21st, our Ottawa-Orléans Early Years Centre staff and volunteers participated in a big event at the Canadian Museum of Nature celebrating the Ontario Early Years Program 10th anniversary. The fun filled day was well attended as 3000 children, parents, grandparents and caregivers participated in the event. Kids enjoyed a variety of fun and stimulating activities and live performances. The OCCRC is very proud to be part of the Ontario Early Years family and to offer this very important service to the families and caregivers of our community.
Our services are available to parents, families and caregivers of children 0 to 6 years old. The core services are the following: information and referral for services offered within the city of Ottawa; learning and socializing opportunities through drop-in playgroups; lending library; workshops and resources for parents and caregivers and volunteering opportunities. The Centre also offers a Well-Baby Clinic, drop-ins as well as a breastfeeding support drop-in. Services are offered free of charge in French and English.
