The Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre has made some changes to its fundraising department and we would love to again have you as a community partner.

With this past years economic crisis and our communities ever expanding population our resource centre is finding that there is an even greater need this year. This is why we invite you to look over our new 2009 Community Caring Club brochure. This brochure provides you with our different membership options along with all benefits depending on the level of membership you choose.

As a past member, you might already know some of the crucial programs and services that we provide to our low-income families in our community, but in case you do not, here are a few examples of how our sponsorship, donation and fundraising profits were able to help in 2008:

* Our Food Bank served over 350 families last year and the numbers are  unfortunately steadily climbing.
 
* Provided counseling services to more than 750 individuals dealing with difficult situation, including support to women who were victims of violence.

* Provided over 300 children with Anti-Bullying workshops.

* The OCCRC provided numerous programs at all of our satellite locations including our rural location in Sarsfield. These programs include: School Supplies Program, Winter suits, Income Tax Clinic, Clothing and Furniture Centre, Winter Warmth, Lenscrafters Community Day, Spring Day, and many more.

* Provided over 140 Christmas baskets to families in our community along with Christmas gifts for their children.

Last year through our many different fundraising campaigns and our ongoing community support we were able to raise over $140,000.00 which is down from our previous year of $150,000.00. With your assistance we could once again rise up and help in supporting and reinforcing what matter the most for us, providing services to our community clients. Each dollar invested surely help to improve the quality of life of a friend, a neighbor or even a family member.
